Arya has been chosen!

Arya has been adopted, but her new people are moving so she'll be with me for a little bit longer while they get settled into her new home. They've been visiting her often though, I'm very happy they were able to adopt this brave little girl!

My oldest calico Cali has been in full foster mommy mode. It so sweet to see her with the babies. She's very patient with them but doesn't hesitate to teach them manners either. She's a great help in teaching them all the cat things they need to know that I can't teach.

She brought them her favorite toy too! Inside cat hunting lessons.

Then we have this cat bed which is apparently good for nursing on. They were weaned a bit suddenly because of the trapping so it's normal behavior and comforting for them.

Cute Overload

Everyone is doing so well, it won't be long now before they leave me and head to their forever homes. They really rank high on the cuteness factor, wow, these guys are so cute! Arya has really been investigating the cat door now, but luckily hasn't figured out how to escape into the main house. They all have also started to wear collars, just one less thing for their forever homes to have to worry about.

More cute kitten pictures

Everybody was waiting on me to get them their food this morning! Hungry littles were very vocal about it too. Rickon even made a break trying to get into the main house, silly boy that's not even where I keep the food. Still getting lots of purrs from Rickon and Arya, Arya even gave my husband a purr, though Bran hissed at him. Still they all let him pet them, even if they gave him an opinion about it afterwards.

So many good pictures today!

The kittens have come such a long way in a week. While they still have skittish moments I was able to get purrs from Rickon and Arya and I can sit out there with them with no problems and they've had other visitors and done very well, still walking around and playing and generally ignoring other humans which is part of the process. Rickon went from being the most defensive to being the first to seek out attention now, just showing that you never can tell with kittens who is going to warm up first. Tyrion is still decently skittish, and so is Bran but not so much that they swat or bite. They all also know I have the food and now let me know in no uncertain terms when they want dinner.

Since they've warmed up so much I got so many awesome pictures, I don't want to overload you so I'll share part of them now and part in a few days. Here's my favorites, though it was really hard to pick!

Pretty babies

Thanks to a Facebook survey my kittens all have names. I decided on Game of Thrones names for them since they were captured the night before this past weeks big episode. So in no particular order here they are!

And Tyrion!

I broke with the Stark trend because well I like Tyrion as a character and he looks so different from his siblings that people are always asking if he is from the same litter. They're doing much better. I can pick them up and move them around without the leather gloves and Rickon even accepted petting and gave me a few curious sniffs today. They've been allowed to play in the cat room a good bit, which they like a whole lot better of course. They're still pretty wary though and won't play with my two calicos yet, despite Theresa really really wanting to play with them. For a week they've made really good progress.

Scared kittens

I got the kittens out to get some better pictures. They're still very scared and hissy but at least you can see what they look like better.

This is a boy, no name yet.

The calico female (of course)

The other male, he's the hissiest

The third male, a little creamsicle kitty

And then when I put them back they hid in the litter box. They'll need bathes once they get to where I can handle them without them chewing on the glove.

New Foster Kits!

I just picked these babies up from campus where were were trapping today. We hadn't even seen them out and about yet. Their mom we know, it's her first litter and we had been watching for the babies to show up. We just picked a good day to trap. If my quick glances were right we have three males and a little calico female. I haven't given them names yet. Going to give it a few days, see what comes to mind.

Lots of Pics

I found pics I had forgot to post for Sue and Ben! Both of them have been adopted, the end of May was just very busy for us with family issues. New litter incoming, look for updates!
